Is this really mailed as a physical letter?
Yes. We print your letter on quality paper, seal it in an envelope, add postage, and mail it through USPS to any address within the United States.
How private is my letter?
Your letter is treated as personal. We only access it to print and mail your order. We never sell your information, never use your words for advertising, and never use them to train AI. See our Privacy page for specifics.
How long does delivery take?
We typically print within 1–2 business days, then it travels about 3–5 business days by USPS First-Class (weekends excluded). These are estimates, not guarantees — mail timing depends on USPS.
How much can I write?
Penned currently supports letters up to two pages — roughly 475 words. Your available space may vary slightly based on formatting and handwriting style.
Will the recipient know it's from me?
Only if you choose to add your return address. It's optional, and if you leave it blank we use a neutral return address so the letter can still be delivered.
Can I send a letter outside the U.S.?
Not yet — for now we only deliver within the United States.
What will the envelope look like?
A clean, standard envelope with the recipient's address and a return address. It does not display Penned branding — it looks like a personal letter.
Can I edit or cancel after ordering?
Because we print and mail quickly (within 1–2 business days), we usually can't change an order once it's in production. If you catch a mistake right away, email admin@penned-letters.com and we'll do our best.
What if the address is wrong, or a letter is lost?
We can't take responsibility for delivery problems caused by an incorrect address entered at checkout. If a letter is genuinely lost in the mail, email admin@penned-letters.com and we'll work with you to make it right.
Can I get a refund?
If something goes wrong on our end, absolutely — email admin@penned-letters.com. Because letters are printed and mailed quickly, we generally can't refund a correctly-produced order once it's on its way.
Can I include a photo, or is any content off-limits?
Penned currently sends printed letters only (no photos yet). We don't allow threats, harassment, impersonation, illegal content, or contacting someone who has asked you not to — see our Terms.

Your words are personal, and we treat them that way. We never sell your information, never use your letters for advertising, and never use them to train AI. Payments are handled securely by Stripe — we never see your card details.
